My name is Joel Stafford and I'm a Brisbane-based photographer who specialises in Wide Field Astro Nightscapes.

In my photography journey spanning over a decade now, I've dipped my toes into nearly every genre, chasing the dream of going full-time behind the lens. Fast forward to now, with a new family in tow (a wonderful wife and two little ones), I've found my passion reaching new heights in Astro Photography. It has become my go-to genre, especially with the added bonus of working full-time for a company deeply connected to the astronomy world. This gig allows me to collaborate with like-minded folks and gives me the flexibility to chase those crystal-clear night skies whenever possible.

There's something truly special about being out there in the darkness, surrounded by a night sky adorned with trillions of stars. It's an experience I can't wait to share with my kiddos when they're old enough to appreciate the cosmic beauty.
